Throughout their long musical careers, Pepe Raphael, Béla R. Balogh and Courtney Von Drehle, have spent more hours laughing and celebrating the joys of life than they have playing concerts together, which is strange, as the times they have played a few songs together, the music and spirit have shone brightly. The idea of doing a concert that features more of their collaborations has always appealed to them but it hasn't had a chance to happen..... until now!
The three musicians and their bandmates have decided to finally combine their eclectic experiences and diverse musical backgrounds for a night you will never forget. On May 1st, these veterans of the stage are putting their talent and musical wit together to offer their audiences a "world premiere" of selections never performed before by this ensemble. This will be a 100% guarantee bonded and insured wholesome family entertainment.

2016 Oregon Music Hall of Fame "Album of the Year" inductees, 3 Leg Torso has been reported as wildly exciting, wildly eclectic, and all embracing. Their music is a mixture of fun, beauty and mayhem; a roller coaster ride through musical inspirations from France, Eastern Europe, Argentina, America and the Middle East. The remarkable musicianship of this cinematic chamber-gypsy ensemble and the dynamic stage presence is uncommon and exceptional. Sometimes brisk, prancing with mad eccentric elegance, and other times contemplative but never less than masterful.
3 Leg Torso formed in 1996 as a violin, accordion, and cello ensemble with the vision of creating original works that are inspired by music and cultures from around the world. Later, 3 Leg Torso expanded, adding double bass and an array of assorted percussion instruments , including vibraphone, glockenspiel and xylophone.
The ensemble has composed and licensed music for filmmakers including Academy Award winning animator Joan Gratz, Morgan Spurlock, Teller (Penn & Teller) Bill Plympton, and National Geographic special about doomsday preppers. Courtney Von Drehle, accordionist in the ensemble, received an Emmy nomination for his work on the Oscar nominated HBO documentary, The Final Inch.
Having arranged their music for full symphony orchestra, 3 Leg Torso has performed successful concerts with the Portland Festival Symphony, the Central Oregon Symphony, Beaverton Symphony, Pacific Crest Wind Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphony. The ensemble will be performing with the Central Oregon Symphony in October
