Terry Robb is hailed as one of the finest acoustic guitarists on the international scene and a virtuoso of acoustic blues guitar. His signature fingerpicking style landed him in the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and earned him international acclaim from esteemed music critics, his distinguished peers and devoted fans. He single-handedly defined the Cascade Blues Association’s Muddy Award for Acoustic Guitar, winning the prize for 19 consecutive years since its inception until it was renamed in his honor in 2011.

In his 15th solo recording Confessin My Dues, Robb draws on his deep knowledge of Delta blues, ragtime and swing in 13 original compositions ranging from blistering instrumental blues and stunning fingerpicking to soulful singing backed by a powerhouse rhythm section. Spanning country blues to Coltrane, ragtime blues to Hendrix, Americana to American Primitivism, Confessin’ My Dues has garnered worldwide praise. The album soared to the top 50 Billboard Blues Album Chart, top 25 Living Blues Radio Report, top 50 Roots Music Report Blues Album Chart and top 50 International Blues Broadcasters Association Album Chart in the UK.

“Robb demonstrates’ blues expansiveness, and his own versatility, not on a travelogue of covers, but in an album of originals,” mused Dan Forte of Vintage Guitar magazine. “And it’s difficult to think of anyone who could pull that off as well...In Terry Robb’s hands, it not only makes perfect sense, it makes perfect blues sense.” “A true blues legend at the top of his game,” praised Blues Matters magazine. “Simply breathtaking perfection,” exclaimed Frank Matheis of Living Blues magazine. “Terry Robb is one of our finest acoustic guitarists today. He’s not just technically sublime; he plays with unrestrained passion you will feel deep down inside.”

Both on stage and throughout the album, Robb is backed by renowned jazz musicians Gary Hobbs and Dave Captein, and rising blues guitarist Adam Scramstad. From their sold-out record release show at the Secret Society Ballroom to their main stage performance at the 2019 Waterfront Blues Festival, the Terry Robb Quartet has captivated audiences with their melodic and rhythmic invention. “This band is one of the hottest acts I have seen in some time,” lauded Greg Johnson, president of the Cascade Blues Association. “ Confessin’ My Dues is yet another example of Terry Robb doing what he does best – leaving us with a sense of awe and joy with every note he plays. It’s a winning formula that continues to lead the pack.”
